Emerson's Photo Shoot At Smythe Park

In honor of Emerson being 7 months old, I put her in the cutest Ralph Lauren outfit (from Aunt Katie) and took some cute pictures of her at the lake across the street from our house. She didn't give me any of her signature smiles, but I will take what I can get. I am a freak about pictures as most of you know, especially with her and my new camera!

Some things that she is doing now:

Grabbing EVERYTHING she can get her hands on. Silverware at the table, remote control, phones, purse, laptop, mustella body lotion, desitin. I mean anything. It is pretty cute how observant she is now.

I can barely get a diaper on this child. Have you ever tried to put a diaper on a child while she is on all fours? Man, it's tough! She is constantly rolling over and sitting up, sometimes I just let the little thing hang out commando and pray she doesn't leave us a present.

She gets very excited when she sees Grandma and Pop's dog, Kylie. She kicks her feet and opens her mouth very big.

Emerson sits up very well now and loves watching Baby Einstein, particularly Baby Noah (it is very good). She would watch it all day if she could. She got up early this morning and after her breakfast, we cuddled on the chair with a blanket (she had no pants on) for one entire run through of the show. She didn't move.

Emerson will be sitting up playing and all the sudden tense up her whole body- arms, legs and face and make this funny noise. She isn't mad or anything, I think just excited and having fun.

She says "Mmm ma ma " a lot. I try to be fair and get her to say "Da da", but it doesn't happen as often. Sorry Chris.

Emerson is VERY close to crawling. She has been rocking for a while now, so I know the next step is go time. She took a few steps today, I am not sure if this is officially crawling, but I taped it and will post it tonight. You be the judge, but she is doing great.
