Emerson is also enjoying tummy time much more. I spread the toys infront of her and she reaches for them.

Emerson is 4 Months Old!
Emerson is learning new tricks everyday. She is now into kicking the mirror and bumper in her crib. She thinks it is really funny. One morning I went to get her out of bed and her head was at the other end of the crib- she did a 180 somehow! She is changing everyday and Chris and I are having a blast.
More Family Pictures!
Grammy and Aunt Katie took some family pictures when they were here last week. I thought they came out pretty good. Poor Tuxy wanted to be in them so badly, she just watched out the front door, it was precious. Emerson is 15 weeks here.

Aunt Katie Comes For A Visit
Aunt Katie blew into town to see her little niece along with a few friends to check out the social scene. We had a great time. We went on walks, went out for pizza, took lots of naps and Aunt Katie even came to Kindermusik with us. Thank you, Aunt Katie for visiting and taking such good care of Emerson! Emerson is 15 weeks in these pictures.

A Perfect Example...
of why you must swaddle your baby when she sleeps! This is what she does with her hands now- she rubs her head the entire time. She doesn't flail her arms as much, but she loves to run her fingers through her hair! It cracks us up. Emerson is 15 weeks in this video and pics.
Emerson is also obsessed with eating her fingers. It is so cute.

Crazy Daddy!
So I come down the stairs and round the corner Sunday morning and this is what I see... Chris entertaining Emerson. She loved it.
Emerson has found her head and hair. She puts her hand on her head and then will pull out about 10 hairs. She already has a bald spot on the back of her head from when she sleeps. Hopefully, it will grow back soon! The last 3 pictures are from when she woke up from a nap in the swing what her hair looked like. Crazy, I tell you!

Visit From Grammy and Grandad
Grammy and Grandad flew into town to visit Emerson and go to the highly anticipated USC v. UGA game this past weekend. Unfortunately, the Gamecocks lost, but we still had a great weekend. Aunt Melissa also came to stay for a night and it just wouldn't be normal if I didn't take a ton of pictures. Grandad couldn't believe how much Emerson had changed- he had so much fun playing with her, it was really cute. Grammy and Grandad brought her a Ranger Rubber Ducky from Yosemite National Park. See you soon Mom and Dad!!!

Another Visit To Nana's House
Emerson and I went on a field trip last Thursday to visit Nana. Emerson was a perfect angel! We had a good time visiting with Nana and catching up. She just had the house painted and it looks great. Then we ran by Babies R Us for some new toys. From what I can tell so far, she likes them!

Emerson's Photoshoot
While we were in Nashville, Mandy, my sister-in-law, did a photoshoot of Emerson for me. I have to say, she is darn good! I know you will agree. If you are in the Atlanta area and want some good pictures taken of your baby/child, she is for hire! Thank you Mandy, for capturing such a sweet, innocent baby.
Emerson just lights up my life and I don't know what in the world I did to deserve to be the mother of such an angel. I am so lucky.

3 Months Old!
Since Emerson has hit the 3 month mark (she is actually 14 weeks today), Chris and I cannot believe all of the changes. In the past 2 weeks, she has started all of the below:
Smiling a ton more- her eyes just light up it is so cute.

Smiling a ton more- her eyes just light up it is so cute.
She loves to suck on her hands and fingers.
Cooing like crazy.
Blowing bubbles.
Folding both her hands over her chest.
Grabbing her toys and blankets and putting them in her mouth.
Holding on to your arm when you hold her on your shoulder.
Drooling a good bit.
She can follow objects as you move them around her as well as people when you walk to the right and left of her.

She is working on rolling over. Right now she keeps rolling to the left, but isn't quite close enough to rolling over entirely by herself yet.
Emerson is liking tummy time much more. We put her on this cool surf board play mat and she looks at all of the toys and tries to reach for them. When she is done with that, she slobers all over the little pillow.
She wants to hold her bottle.
She likes to look at Tuxy- I hope they become good buddies .
Emerson offically has her first favorite toy. She loves Mr. Duckie that Grammy and Grandad sent her. She likes to give him LOTS and LOTS of kisses. I picked him up the other day and he was soaking wet from her kisses. It was darling.

Riley Family Reunion
Last weekend we made the trip to Nashville, TN to have a mini Riley family reunion. The three of us, Mandy, Brian, Madison and Carter, Kate and Troy- and of course Grandma and Pops were there. We finally got to meet cousin Carter- he is a cutie and just so sweet. Cousin Madison was in baby Heaven. At one point she was on the floor in between both babies going back and forth telling each one "I love you" and "Don't cry, Baby Emerson."
Aunt Kate and Uncle Troy had a blast holding the babies. You will see several pictures of Kate looking like a celeb in Hollywood posing at the pool. There are two funny pictures of Emerson that you know she is sleeping when the paci is just resting on her lip!
On the last day, Mandy took some great pictures of Emerson. As soon as I get them I will make another post.
We took hour walks each morning in Grandma and Pop's beautiful neighborhood and even had time to get some shopping in. (I have to teach Emerson early the important things in life).
As you can see from the slideshow, we basically took pictures the entire time. Emerson was an angel on the flights both ways- she slept the entire time (she liked the continuous humming of the engines). Emerson and I stayed in Nashville all of last week and visited with Grandma and Pops. We had a great time! Thanks Grandma and Pops for taking care of us.
