On Wednesday afternoon, we were discharged from the hospital and had to pack up all of our stuff and take it home. We discovered quickly a few tips that I need to pass along to future first time parents. Know how to get your baby into the car seat and make the straps snug, BEFORE YOU HAVE THE BABY! Also, put the baby in the car seat, then attach it to the base, not the other way around. After 10 minutes in 100 degree temp, we figured it out. Thanks Tiffany for being my "Phone a Friend." I think the nurse that wheeled me out thought it was the blind leading the blind. Emerson is just so tiny, she doesn't look comfy in the car seat, but she has slept through the few rides we have taken her on so far. After getting home, we took a few pictures. I thought it was funny that my Father-In-Law carried in my medical supplies as well as my sitz bath tub, so I had to get a pic of it. ha ha. The last picture is Chris and I introducing Tuxy to Emerson. So far Tuxy does not like the crying, but otherwise just looks at Emerson and goes on her merry way.
