Christmas 2009

This year for Christmas, we made the rounds to Atlanta for the Rileys and Aiken for the Deason side. We started in Atlanta and the cousins had a ball playing with each other. Santa aka Pops came to visit the kids and brought Emerson an Elmo doll. The kids were scared to death of him! Emerson had the death grip on Chris the entire time. Madison got a Barbie Jeep on Christmas morning and Emerson and Carter immediately jumped into it while Madison was excited about her 5 Barbies on the floor- it was not the reaction we thought we would get out of Madison. One of Emerson's biggest gifts from Grandma and Pops was a wagon that she can take her babies on walks around the neighborhood. There is a cute picture of the kids all in the tub together and Brian and Chris decided to be silly and jump in the shower- you can see that Chris really poured shampoo on Brian's head.

Emerson had her second Christmas at the Deason house. She made biscuits with Grandad one morning- but she did not like her hands being dirty, so we were constantly washing them. ha ha. On Christmas morning, Emerson came down the stairs and saw a room full of toys. She went straight for the ball pit and played for a few minutes and then on to her car (thank you Uncle Thomas for putting it together). Once she got in, she did not want out, she actually opened the rest of her gifts in there! The Dora tent from Grammy and Grandad was the finale. You can see in the pictures Mom and Dad bringing her around the corner- she had the cutest grin on her face when she saw it. Uncle Thomas modeled his gag gift Chris and I got him. The rule is that you must try it on! Melissa and Thomas' dog, Dooley, was a fun addition to this holiday. Emerson had fun playing with him. You can see Dad playing the Wee Fit, he was hula hooping. It is one of the funniest things you will ever see!
