Boating And The Beach

Our favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings is to hit the boat and head out to the beach. We usually anchor on Morris Island and Emerson will play with her beach toys and loves splashing in the water. Today was a monumental day for Emerson- she did not cry when we put the life jacket on her! This is huge!

We picked up the Moye Family and took the boat out for a spin. We got to Morris Island and after about 5 minutes of being there, my little angel got stung by a jellyfish! She was just standing there and it washed up around her right leg. I felt sooooo bad. We washed it down with more saltwater, a cold compress and some anti sting cream and I tell you what, the kid rebounded like a champ. She just played and played and had a ball. Chris and I were both very proud of her for "pushing through the pain" as Chris said, and being a big girl wearing her life jacket. Here are a few cute pictures of us at the beach today and from the other day when the girls were playing on Sullivan's Island.

Recovering at home on her giraffe.

Darn jellyfish!

The Moye Family- it was Mads first time on a boat today, she loved it.
