Happy Birthday, Emerson!

Today, June 2nd, 2009 is Emerson's 1st Birthday! One year ago today at 6:14 in the evening, she graced us with her presence and we have enjoyed every second of it. Each day seems to be even better than the last. Emerson, you have enriched our lives and we are so proud of you. Daddy and I fell in love with you the second we saw you, with each passing day, we get to know that little personality even more and you are our little angel. You make us smile and thank God every night before we go to bed that your are our happy, healthy and beautiful, little baby.

Something I have been thinking about as we have approached the eve of Emerson's big day... Chris and I have always been close with our families, but since having Emerson, we are even closer to our families than ever. We quickly learned how having this precious child makes the bonds of family stronger than we thought possible. We realize how much we love Emerson is how much our parents love us and what a parent would do for their child- absolutely anything! So Happy first Birthday, Emerson, and thank you to our families for your love, support and advice along the way. Here are some of our favorites of her first year.

One day old and we are in love

Just born and we are in awe of this precious miracle. We love you, Emerson!
