8 Month Highlights

Emerson is growing up so fast! This girl has got some wheels. She is into anything and everything. It is so fun to watch Emerson play with her toys. She will grab one, play with it for 2 seconds, see another toy, crawl over to it, pick it up, throw it down and crawl over to another toy. She does this all day long.

Here are a few more things she is doing now:

Emerson will eat any pair of shoes she can find, loves to pull magazines off the coffee table and wants to sample some of Tuxy's food like you won't believe!

Emerson also loves tupperware and could spend hours in the kitchen just crawling around the island.

She is pulling up so fast, she is like a little monkey. She will crawl over to you and basically use you as a jungle gym.

She loves putting the phone from her nursery rhyme cube in her mouth and crawling around the kitchen.

Loves to clap and give kisses. She gives the cutest little open mouth kisses on the cheek. It just melts your heart! I try not to take it personally when she also kisses the fridge, floor and my knee.

She enjoys hanging and pulling on the kitchen drawers, but hasn't quite figured out how to pull them open yet.

Crawls over to the stairs and has actually figured out how to get up a few of them! Here comes the gate.

I am so lucky to be at home with her every day. I was thinking about ways I can document my memories (like the pictures. videos and blog aren't enough) and I am starting a daily journal to write down my precious moments with her. Like when I read her books- she sits on my lap and puts her tiny hands on my wrists and rubs them so softly, how she just started to clap on her own and thinks she is hot stuff, when I play hide and go seek with her around the corner and she leans as far over as possible to see me, after bath time the other night we were getting her dressed and she just sat there rubbing her little tummy- we love it. My Uncle Jack says you have two banks in life- the bank you keep your money in and the bank you keep your memories in, and I don't want to let one single memory slip by.

Below is a slide show of her 8 month highlights- enjoy! She is growing up too fast, Chris and I are enjoying every second with her.
