Infant Massage Class

There is this great boutique in Mt. Pleasant called From Here to Maternity. They have very nice maternity clothes as well as the cutest gifts and outfits for babies. They also offer an infant massage class to babies that are between the ages of 6-14 weeks. I thought it would be fun to do with Emerson, so we signed up.

So Emerson and I show up for the first session and we met 5 other sweet moms and screaming babies and had a ball. At the first class, we spent most of the time asking each other questions and about 30 minutes on the massage. It was nice to know I was not the only person in the world at home with a new baby not knowing what the heck I was doing.

Now, infant massage you ask? Well let me tell you- I think its brilliant. There are many benefits to it- communicates a message of love to your baby which help her to grow emotionally and physically strong, helps baby relax and let go of tension (don't ask me how they have tension- if I ate, slept, was taken on stroller rides, massaged, bathed and rocked all day and night I would be in Heaven) babies sleep better, have an easier time with feeding and experience fewer stomach upsets.

You can do this at any age. It is never too late to start. Please let me know if you are interested and I would love to give you more information. It is a great way to bond with your baby- especially with Daddies. Emerson just stares at me the entire time and it melts my heart each time.

Below are pictures of the lovely ladies and gents.

The babies relaxing- notice Emerson sleeping with her mouth wide open like her Daddy.
