Congratulations, Mrs. Debbie!

Congratulations to Debbie D- she officially retired from 26 years of teaching this past Friday. It was a very sad but happy day. She is moving on to pursue other endeavors in life, such as- being a grandmother and moving to California with dad to be an Orange County Betty.

Mom got some very nice gifts from her co-workers- two picture albums to put Emerson's pictures in, a trendy diaper bag so she doesn't "look like an old lady" as they said. A Vera Bradley bag for traveling to and from California. One of mom's best friends, Karen Garcia, and her family, gave her a really neat gift. It is a 5 year scholarship program that will go to a child that needs assistance to attend South Aiken Presbyterian Church School, where mom has taught for the last 20 years. The picture below is the frame that will be proudly displayed at the school.

Congratulations, Mom! You have touched the lives of many children and parents over the years. We are so proud of you!
